Saturday July 23, 2016 Belleville will have its annual Pride in the Park once again. We are planning to enter the Parade and the Park events this year and you are welcome to join us.
Watch the parade 12 pm (on Sydney street from the fair grounds down to Dundas street (walkers will continue by the treatment plant) or meet us at the Zwicks by the band shell for lots of fun activities and fellowship.
If you want to walk with us we are meeting at the Fair Grounds at no later than 11:30 to be ready to leave when the parade leaves at noon.
We are dressing up in our best “Peace and Love and Flower Power” (hippie style if you like) attire. I have some hats and fun body paints and party favours and the like for those who would would like them. (Note: you do not have to dress up if you don’t want to, you are welcome to come as you are or wear bright festive clothing.)
This is a family friendly event and when we get to the park there are lots of activities to partake in. If you are coming it is helpful for you to let us know, but last minute joiners are also welcome.
I will be offering a Community Despacho Ceremony at Zwick’s Park and well as blessings and the like. Pat Dockrill will be offering free mini-card readings as the time allows.
We hope to spend time with the community at this event and we look forward to seeing our families, friends and allies.
